Why invest in Panama

The influx of international capital after Panama recuperated control over the Canal has made it so that Panama is living an economic growth and political stability without precedence. The increment of prices in the real estate sector is not due to speculation, but to a fundamental growth sustained of over 9% annually during the last 4 years.

The most significant data referring to the economy of Panama is based on the expansion of the Canal, a monumental building site that is estimated to cost almost 6 billion dollars and will bring close to 300,000 new jobs in the next 5 years.

The numbers of the touristic sector do not leave room for doubt concerning the growth of this sector, growing over 20% annually. More and more, the principle world tour operators are beginning to offer touristic packages to Panama.

In the next 5 years, we will see the beginning of a whole generation of retirees (70 million) from North America; known as Baby Boomers. Many of them have already started to invest in Panama due mainly to the fact that traditional retirement destinations (Florida) are too expensive. Panama offers them a low cost of living, first class quality health care at very reduced prices, and lifelong fiscal exemptions, and the possibility to reside there permanently.
